Set on the enthralling chain of seven islands known as Ayaka Island, this groundbreaking novel by the renowned writing collective GoRA explores the complex and profound relationships between men who bear the weight of different fates. A heartbreaking yet amazing story is told through alliances, mentorships, rivalries, and even father-son connections.

The character designs come to life under the expert direction of GoRA, who also handles the series composition and narrative, and the creative talent of the highly regarded illustrator redjuice, who has contributed greatly to many well-known titles. Director Nobuyoshi Nagayama is in charge of the creative team, which also includes character designer Misaki Kaneko, concept artist Naoya Tanaka, and the expert animation team at Studio Blanc.

Viewers can expect to be intrigued and deeply moved by the men who navigate their fated paths thanks to an exceptionally talented team working together to bring forth a completely new anime experience, and an intricately intertwined plot skillfully produced by GoRA’s professional writing.

Story :

The young child named Yukito Yanagi was raised in a mainland orphanage. In his hometown of Ayaka, a strange chain of islands with many legends of fire and water dragons and mysterious beings called “Mitama” inhabiting the island as if they were natural inhabitants, he is taken by an unruly young man named Jingi Sagawa one day, who claims to be his late father’s apprentice.

Together with his father’s three disciples—hermits who supposedly maintained the peace on the island—Yukito moves to Ayaka. Yukito is faced with the truth here in Ayaka, where harmony has started to crumble.

As previously revealed, the eagerly awaited original anime series Ayaka: A Story of Bonds and Wounds is set to debut in July 2023 and features an eye-catching new key visual. The promotional campaign for a future voice drama project features this same image.

While Misaki Kaneko is in charge of character designs based on the original concepts by the well-known artist Redjuice, GoRA expertly manages the series composition for Ayaka. Kana Shibue is in charge of writing the music, and Ryo Tanaka is in charge of sound design.

Studio Blanc, renowned for their outstanding work on renowned titles like Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan and The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World, is tasked with animating Ayaka. The well-known streaming service Crunchyroll has revealed that when the Nobuyoshi Nagayama-directed Ayaka TV anime from Studio Blanc premieres in July, it will be available to viewers outside of Japan. Nagayama is best known for his work on Happy Sugar Life.

GoRA and King Records worked together to create the Ayaka original animation series. GoRA contributes their experience, having gained widespread recognition as the original creator of the highly regarded series K and its long number of spin-off manga adaptations. Renowned anime series like Haven’t You Heard? have been produced by King Records, a well-known production firm. Ajin, Tsuredure Children, Miss Nagatoro, Tomodachi Game, and most recently, The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated and Don’t Toy With Me!
