Let’s begin with the fundamentals. The Haoliners Animation League, Tencent Animation, and Emon are the producers; they have been involved in almost every recent release, the most well-known of which are Reikenzan: Eichi e no Shikaku and Gin no Guardian. The anime is titled Hitori no Shita: The Outcast, and Namu Animation is the company producing it.
Story:
It’s an anime about martial arts with superpowers and supernatural elements in general. There are two seasons (the second of which is presently airing), with the first having 12 episodes overall and the second having five as of right now.
The beginning of the story might lead you to believe that this anime is about zombies or something, since Zhang Chulan, the main character, is a virgin loser who is visiting his grandfather’s grave in the hamlet. Simultaneously, there seem to be some enigmatic rumors of zombies and vacant graves. After hearing about the reports, Zhang Chulan makes the decision to visit his grandfather’s tomb in the middle of the night to pay his respects. He saw a girl there who was digging graves.Zhang Chulan hastily snaps a picture of her for documentation purposes and dashes back to the village. Just when he thinks everything is well, the woman grabs him and drags him to the zombie-infested graves, where she uses a kitchen knife to dispatch a few zombies before leaving him to face his fate!
Zhang Chulan manages to survive, and a few days later, the enigmatic girl appears as a new student at his institution. It turns out that Zhang Chulan is a martial arts expert who learned from his grandfather and has some sort of chi-based superpower. At first glance, you could assume that the girl named BaoBao is a heartless, cold-blooded killer who challenges Zhang Chulan’s limits. Following that, we find out that he inherited some kind of special power and that, in order to discover the true nature of this power and the identity of his grandfather, he must compete in a superpower martial arts tournament where participants from every school are assembled, win, and then approach the grand elder himself for information.
In the meantime, Zhang Chulan needs to train himself with BaoBao and her gang’s assistance in order to uncover the huge mystery because there is a group of usual bad guys who want to use his strength for their own wicked purposes.
