Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation
Following the death of his parents, an anonymous 34-year-old Japanese NEET is evicted from his home. After some introspection, he comes to the conclusion that his life was ultimately useless. Walking down the street, he comes across a speeding truck coming towards a group of adolescents, and in an attempt to do something significant for once in his life, he manages to grab one of them out of harm’s way before collapsing and dying. When he awakens in the body of a newborn, he finds he has been reborn in a realm of sword and sorcery. He intends to be successful in his new life, abandoning his previous identity in favor of his new persona as Rudeus Greyrat. Rudeus, with the assistance of his past life’s intuitions, becomes very competent at magic as a result of hereditary affinity and early instruction. During his childhood, he becomes a demon magician Roxy Migurdia’s student, a friend of half-elf Sylphiette, and a teacher to noble heiress Eris Boreas Greyrat. Rudeus makes every effort to enjoy this new life with no regrets.
The story takes place in the Six-Faced realm, a hexahedral realm. A fantastical world with various races inhabiting each side: the Dragon World of the Dragon race, the Demon World of the Demon race, the Sky World of the Skyfolks, the Beast World of the Beastfolks, the Sea World of the Seafolks, and the Human World of the Human race; there is also a seventh world – the Void World, where nothing exists and serves as a channel connecting the six worlds. With the exception of the Void World, all five planets have been destroyed, and only the Human World exists, where all survivors from the other world have fled. As a result, the Human World has become overrun with a variety of races with language and culture distinct to region regarding the history of that place.
The protagonist reincarnates into the Human World during a period reminiscent of the Middle Ages. Rudeus gains the capacity to wield Magic as a result of his birth in the Six-Faced World, where every living being is born imbued with Mana.

Rudeus Greyrat: Prior to his reincarnation, he was an overweight 34-year-old Japanese NEET who became a recluse after being bullied in high school. He abandons his previous identity and attempts to make his new life as Rudeus Greyrat meaningful. As a result, he adopts a placid demeanor, however his perversion from his previous life occasionally emerges and scares everyone around him.
Roxy Migurdia: A Migurdia demon famed for its telepathy, blue hair, young appearance, and longevity. She leaves her tribe since she is isolated from her friends due to her inability to use telepathy. She becomes a traveling tutor after failing to make a life as an adventurer and eventually becomes Rudeus’ teacher.
Rudeus’ boyhood companion who is half human, half elf, and half beast. Her hair is green due to her Laplace Factor, a genetic substance that grants its users heightened magical powers if trained at an early age. Rudeus’ influence assisted her in learning how to cast spells without reciting.
Eris Boreas Greyrat: A noble girl and Rudeus’ distant relative. She is irritable and angry, yet she shows potential in the Sword God Style. Rudeus wins her trust and she becomes a student under him, learning to read and write alongside Magic. During the years she spends with Rudeus, she gradually develops feelings for him.
