According to the most recent leak, Oppo will use BOE 8T displays for its Find X7 flagship series. Digital Chat Station revealed the series’ display specifications as well as battery capacity, with one major surprise – no Find X7 Pro.
There will be a standard Find X7, a flagship Find X7 Ultra, and a Find X7 Ultra Satellite Communications Version, according to the leakster. The post is no longer visible on the user’s Weibo wall, but some users managed to capture a screenshot.
The Find X7 will be equipped with a 6.78″ LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2780 x 1264 pixels. The Ultra has a slightly larger diagonal – 6.82″ – but a higher resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels. For ultra-high brightness, the panel will use the same technology as the vivo X100 Pro and OnePlus 12.
The duo (or trio, depending on how you count) will have a 5,000 mAh battery with 100W charging, and the Ultra will have 50W wireless charging, which we already knew about thanks to a 3C certification.
The decision to drop the Pro moniker is surprising, but we’ve heard the same specs for the Pro and Ultra. Oppo could be attempting to capitalize on the Ultra hype started by Samsung and Xiaomi, and it’s also possible that some of the names are carrying well beyond machine translation.
