Rimuru tells Ifrit that while they underestimated him, Ifrit underestimated them even more. Rimuru, on the other hand, utilizes Predator to consume Ifrit entire. Veldora shows himself to the flame elemental inside Rimuru’s stomach, stating that while Rimuru planned to separate them, Veldora has drawn him into this area to serve as his opponent until he gets bored.
As a result, Veldora invites a befuddled and terrified Ifrit to play Shogi and explains the rules to him. While the two are playing, Veldora tells Ifrit about his life. A mischievous Veldora rampaged over a country 300 years ago, requiring a Chosen Hero to intervene and stop him. When he let down his guard, he became locked in Infinity Prison. Ifrit feels sorry for the dragon, which causes him to fly off into a tsundere rage.
To get to the essential part, Veldora recalls that when Rimuru first appeared before him, he simply began talking to them in order to practice speaking, despite his fear of scaring Rimuru away. Instead, the two hit it off right away, and after a while, Rimuru wanted to eat Veldora in order to breach the Infinity Prison, which is why he’s inside the slime’s Stomach alongside Ifrit.
As a result, Ifrit begins sharing his life tale. As a follower of the Demon Lord Leon, he was tied to the body of Shizu, a young girl called by Leon to preserve her life. However, because he worships Leon and Shizu does not, they were incompatible. Ifrit detects Shizu’s death at that point, but Veldora is convinced that Rimuru will fulfill her final desires.

While talking about how Rimuru learned how to build a village, the two discover they’ve journeyed to the Kingdom of Ingrassia to fulfill Shizu’s ultimate desires. Ifrit discusses Hinata Sakaguchi and characterizes her as a beast with no match while Rimuru is meeting with Yuuki.
