vivo Y03

The Y03 is a new phone that Vivo just released. This was first introduced in Indonesia, but it may eventually make its way to other markets as well. It’s as inexpensive as they come, and it looks it too.

First, let’s discuss specs. Since MediaTek’s Helio G85 SoC powers the Y03, 5G is obviously not an option here. This is combined with 64GB or 128GB of extendable eMMC 5.1 storage and 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The phone can extend its RAM by 4GB as well.

It sports a 6.56-inch 720×1612 LCD touchscreen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 15W cable charging, a 5 MP selfie camera, and a 13 MP primary rear camera with a QVGA decorative camera next to it. It has IP54 certification for dust and splash resistance, runs Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14 on top, and comes in Space Black and Gem Green hues.

So, if you’re in Indonesia, how much do you have to pay for all of this? It turns out that not much. The 4/64GB variant costs IDR 1,299,000 (about $83 or €76 depending on the conversion rate), while the 128GB model costs IDR 1,499,000 ($96 or €88).
