Volvo XC40

The XC40 Recharge single motor, XC40 Recharge twin motor, and C40 Recharge twin motor are among Volvo’s electric vehicle offerings.

At Rs 54.95 lakh (ex-showroom), Volvo Car India has introduced an economical version of the XC40 Recharge with a single motor. This electric vehicle (EV) costs Rs 57.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the dual motor version.

The XC40 Recharge single motor, XC40 Recharge twin motor, and C40 Recharge twin motor are the three models that Volvo currently offers in India. Reservations are now being accepted for the XC40 Recharge single motor, which is put together in the automaker’s Hosakote, Bengaluru, plant.

A 69kWh lithium-ion battery is used in conjunction with a 238hp/420Nm motor in the Volvo XC40 Recharge single motor. According to WLTP regulations, the EV’s stated range is 475 km, while under ICAT testing circumstances, it can travel 592 km on a single charge. It takes 7.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph.

The Volvo XC40 Recharge single motor’s salient features are listed below.

  • Safety: The XC40 comes standard with a suite of safety features, including Pilot Assist, which is a semi-autonomous driving system that can help you stay in your lane and maintain a safe distance from the car in front of you. It also has City Safety, which can automatically brake for pedestrians, cyclists, and other vehicles.
  • Comfort: The XC40 has a comfortable and stylish interior with plenty of space for passengers and cargo. The seats are supportive and adjustable, and the cabin is quiet and refined.
  • Technology: The XC40 comes with a large touchscreen infotainment system that is easy to use. It includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a built-in navigation system. The XC40 also has a number of other tech features, such as a panoramic sunroof, a head-up display, and a wireless charging pad.
  • Google built-in: The XC40 mild hybrids come with Google Maps seamlessly integrated, providing real-time traffic info and automatic rerouting for a more hassle-free drive. You can also use Google Assistant to get directions, listen to music, and stay connected with friends and family.
  • Audio System: The XC40 offers an optional premium audio system that delivers an immersive and powerful sound experience. The system is powered by a 600W digital amplifier and 13 speakers, including an air-ventilated subwoofer.

For the XC40 Recharge single motor, Volvo is providing an eight-year battery warranty and a three-year comprehensive car warranty. Customers will also receive a wall box charger (11kW) from a third party, a five-year subscription to digital services, a three-year Volvo service package, and three years of roadside support.

In 2023, Volvo sold 180 C40 Recharge units and 510 XC40 Recharge vehicles. When combined, the two models accounted for 28% of the company’s annual sales.
