Xiaomi Watch 2

Several European stores have already begun selling the Xiaomi Watch 2, a less expensive version of the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro, despite the fact that Xiaomi has yet to officially announce the watch.

Several stores in Belgium charge €200 for it, while one in Slovakia charges €250. We believe the former is the intended price, as the Pro model is currently available for €230 (it was launched at €270 for the Bluetooth model and €330 for the LTE one).

The Xiaomi Watch 2 has the same 1.43″ 466 x 466px AMOLED display, but its 46mm case is made of aluminum rather than stainless steel like the Pro. The watch is available in both black and silver, with a matching TPU strap.

It has a heart rate and SpO2 monitor, built-in GPS, and a water resistance rating of 5 ATM. It is powered by the same Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset, which runs Wear OS. Xiaomi claims both watches have a 65-hour battery life, so we assume the battery capacity is 495mAh.

The Xiaomi Watch 2 supports Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi, and NFC. Crucially, there is no LTE option. This, along with the case material, appears to be the primary distinguishing feature between the vanilla and Pro watches.

We’ll wait for an official press release from Xiaomi to confirm the price and other details (such as whether it will be available outside of Europe).
