Color possibilities for the Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro have been unveiled in official-looking images.

The Google Pixel 8 duo will be unveiled on October 4, but we already know practically everything about Google’s top-tier devices for 2023. Except for one little detail: how the new colors appear. A prior leak indicated the color options, but there was no visual confirmation.

The Pixel 8 Pro is expected to be available in Obsidian, Porcelain, and Sky Blue. Surprisingly, the Sky Blue paint job was seen in the most recent Pixel 8a live photos. Only the Obsidian colorway has been carried over from the Pixel 7 Pro.

The Pixel 8 will be available in Peony Rose, Gray, and Obsidian, with the latter remaining the only familiar color.

Aside from the new hues, the Pixel 8 duo has a more rounded shape and does away with the sharp corners of last year’s Pixel 7 family. The camera sensor design of the 8 Pro is also unique, with all cameras lying behind a single piece of glass rather than two.

Here are some of the most notable leaks and rumors about the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro:

  • Design: The Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are expected to have a similar design to the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, but with a few key changes. The most noticeable change is that the camera bar on the Pixel 8 Pro will be redesigned, with all three cameras visible in one big oval cutout instead of being partially separated like they are on the Pixel 7 Pro. Additionally, the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to have a flat display instead of a curved display.
  • Display: Both the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are expected to have 120Hz displays, but the Pixel 8 Pro is expected to have a higher brightness rating of 1,600 nits.
  • Processor: The Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are expected to be powered by the next-generation Google Tensor chip.
  • Camera: The Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are expected to have the same camera setup as the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, with a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and an 11MP front-facing camera. However, the Pixel 8 Pro is also rumored to have a new 64MP ultrawide camera.
  • Other features: The Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are expected to have a number of other features, including Wi-Fi 7 support, a new temperature sensor, and Night Sight for video.

The Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are expected to be released in October 2023.

It’s important to note that these are just leaks and rumors, and Google has not yet confirmed any of the information above. However, these leaks come from a variety of reliable sources, so it’s likely that most of this information is accurate.
