Redmi confirmed the December 6 launch of its Redmi 13C 5G smartphone in India. The phone will be the first in Redmi’s budget-friendly ‘C’ series to offer 5G.
Redmi 13C made its debut in Nigeria earlier this year and is set to be launched in India on December 6, according to a Redmi social media post. The Redmi 13C will be a 5G phone, making it the first phone in the company’s ‘C’ series of smartphones to support 5G.
Meanwhile, the Amazon listing for the Redmi 13C 5G indicates that the smartphone will sport a 50 MP primary camera and will be available in two colors: Stardust Black and Star Shine Green.
Redmi 13C will have a 6.74-inch HD+ display with 1600 x 720 pixels of resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate, and 450 nits of peak brightness. It will probably be powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset with a Mali G52 GPU, and it will likely come in three storage options: 4GB RAM/128GB storage, 6GB RAM/128GB storage, and 8GB RAM/256GB storage.
The Redmi 13C, which debuted in Nigeria, is anticipated to have three cameras on its back: a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture, and an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture to meet users’ demands for selfies and video calls. The smartphone may run on Xiaomi’s customized Android skin, MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13.
