Triumph Scrambler 400 X

The Scrambler 400 X may be reserved through the Triumph Motorcycles India website for a refundable deposit of Rs 10,000.

Triumph has introduced its second 400cc model in India, the Scrambler 400 X, which is priced at Rs 2,62,996 (ex-showroom). The Speed 400 was debuted in July by the two-wheeler maker and is priced at Rs 2,33,000 (ex-showroom). Both motorcycles are produced in Bajaj Auto’s Chakan facility.

The Triumph Motorcycles India website accepts bookings for the Scrambler 400 X for a refundable token sum of Rs 10,000. The motorcycle will be sold only through Triumph dealerships, which will swiftly expand across more than 100 locations this fiscal year .

The Triumph Scrambler 400 X is inspired by the Scrambler 900 and 1200, and it claims to have an off-road lineage dating back to the first factory Scramblers in the 1950s.

The Scrambler 400 X was conceived and designed in Hinckley, UK, from the ground up, and has Triumph design characteristics such as the Triumph shape, signature sculpted fuel tank, classic engine profile, and high-quality fit and finish. The motorcycle includes practical features such as headlamp, radiator, and sump protection, as well as handguards, a handlebar brace with pad, a modern upswept silencer, dual-purpose tyres, and a longer front mudguard.

The Scrambler 400 X is outfitted with all-LED lighting (headlight, taillight, and indicators), as well as the distinctive LED DRL. The motorcycle features an analogue speedometer as well as an integrated LCD screen with a digital tachometer, fuel range indication, and gear indicator. There are scroll buttons on the handlebars and a USB-C charging port. The Scrambler 400 X comes standard with a steering lock and an anti-theft immobiliser.

The Scrambler 400 X is powered by a 398cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces 40PS and 37.5Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed transmission. You get a torque-assist clutch and a ride-by-wire throttle.

The Scrambler 400 X is built on a tubular steel frame with a hybrid spine. It sports USD front forks and a monoshock in the rear, both with 150mm wheel travel. The wheels are 10-spoke alloy (19-inch front and 17-inch rear), and the brakes are 320mm front and 230mm rear. The seat measures 835mm in height. The motorcycle has a switchable traction control system as well as a Bosch dual-channel ABS system that may be deactivated.

The motorcycle is available in Matte Khaki Green, Phantom Black, and Carnival Red. For the Scrambler 400 X, there are over 25 genuine accessories available. It has a service interval of 16,000 km and a five-year warranty. Triumph also provides 24x7x365 roadside assistance for Rs 500.
